I'm trying to find what "эльф" would look like if spelled out with our alphabet. For those that don't know, it's "elf". I'm doing some research for my roomie.

You gave too few information, I don't get what the question is since "эльф" is total bullshit. It's like some Russian tried to write "elf" in English.
If you'd spell it, it would be something like "adinadtjatsh" but that's Russian for "elf" again and not English for "elf".
So, like you wrote it, it would simply be spelled like the normal "elf" in English, how you know it - since it's English for "elf" written in Kyrillic.
I can hardly explain it. Too few information.

I kind of get what you're meaning, though.
